Alas, after 4 ½ years, Charlie the goldfish has gone up to the great fish bowl in the sky.

I shall miss the old bugger. He was a good fish. I’m just sad I missed his last days as he was living at my folks place and not with me.

While I'm happy to report my request for a postponement of my jury duty was approved, last night around 12 a.m. the city tree in front of our house was blown over during the wind storm we had. It fell with a boom that shook the house and woke me up from a sound sleep.

Luckily, the tree missed our flat by a little less then 5 feet.

My roomie and I called Public Works right after going out to make sure the house was ok and to take pictures, because the tree was blocking our driveway and there was no way we were going to be able to get out for work in the morning if we left the tree there. Public Works came out and started chopping the tree up around 2 a.m. waking me up for a second time and keeping me awake until close to 3:30 a.m. when they were finally done.

I must have some really bad luck going on because we were the only people on about a 3 mile stretch of Bluemound Rd. that had a tree blow over in their yard.

Can't a girl catch a break?!

So after much thought and discussion, my boyfriend and I decided to go as Robin Hood and Maid Marian for Halloween/our 1 year anniversary.

Now comes the ‘fun’ part. Finding costume patterns to make said costumes.

I found a couple of dress patterns I like for the Marian costume, but finding a decent looking ‘Robin Hood’ or ‘Woodsman’ costume is hard.

Any suggestions on where to look?

I came to the conclusion the other day while I was sitting on my sofa watching Robin Hood Prince of Theieves that whatever else you think of this movie, these are some of the most romantic lines spoken in cinema history. If you don’t agree with that, you’d have to at least give me that this movie has one of the most romantic movie songs in history (that was, until my Pastor ruined it for me in church a few months back).
